Sweet & Spicy Pecans
Sweet and Spicy Pecans are the perfect snack when craving a mildly sweet, salty, and spicy munchie. Fantastic on a salad, one could snack on these flavorful, adequately seasoned treats every single day — straight from the storage container. Whip some up soon and give them a shot. This Sweet & Spicy Pecans recipe was previously posted as a salad topping, but it somehow needs its own spotlight.
Spicy Pecans
- 2 large egg whites
- 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 1-1/2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
- 4-1/2 cups pecans
- 6 tablespoons butter, melted and cooled
Preheat oven to 325 F degrees. In a small bowl, whisk together the eggs, salt, sugar, Worcestershire, paprika and cayenne pepper and butter until well blended. Fold in pecans to cover them well. Spread pecans evenly on a baking sheet. Bake for 40 minutes, stirring every ten minutes. Remove from oven and cool. Store pecans in air tight container.
