Blood Orange Sorbet
by Kelly J. Larson
I have fallen in love with Blood Orange Sorbet. It is so refreshing and even exciting to eat. My son, Isaac, has been asking for sorbet every day since I made it a few days ago. He gets very happy over this luxurious new juice form and I actually do too. If I had any idea how simple it was to make and how wonderful it is, I would have tried it a long time ago. This was my first time to buy blood oranges. They are gorgeous!
Blood Orange Sorbet
- 2 cups freshly squeezed blood oranges
- 2 cups orange juice, no pulp
- 1/2 cup sugar
Mix everything together in a bowl, then transfer to ice cream and sorbet maker, then follow machine instructions. Churn until it thickens, then freeze for additional freezing time for several hours.
